The Aghdam Mugham Centre was built in 2018 on the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. On November 5, 2018, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and first lady Mehriban Aliyeva attended the inauguration of the Aghdam Mugham Centre.

The construction of the Aghdam Mugham Center started in October 2016. The construction and design work required almost two years.

The Centre occupies an area of 7,782 square meters, and the building area is 1,800 square meters. The two-storey building has a concert hall, make-up, waiting, technical, administrative, and auxiliary rooms.

The Centre also has a musical instrument repair workshop. The classrooms at the Centre are well-equipped to master the secrets of mugham.

Landscaping work was carried out, a recreation park and green areas were created, flower bushes were planted, and a lightning system was installed in the territory of the Centre.

Palıd LLC also made an important contribution to the construction of the Centre. Thus, MDF works intended for the interior and exterior of the Centre were carried out by Palıd LLC.
